The VIII Congreso Geológico de España (Geological Congress of Spain) is being organized by the Sociedad Geológica de España (Geological Society of Spain; SGE) (http://www.sociedadgeologica.es) and a group of professors at the Dpto. de Geología of the Universidad de Oviedo (http://www.geol.uniovi.es). The VIII Congreso Geológico de España is going to be held in Oviedo, on July 17th-19th, 2012, in the Exhibition and Conference Centre "Ciudad de Oviedo" (http://www.pec-oviedo.com).
The Second Circular contains complementary information issued after the publication of the First Circular and the suggestions and proposals received during the preliminary registration.
Language
Both Spanish and English will be the official languages of the congress. No translation facilities will be available. Scientific documentation will be published only in the language in which it is submitted.
Invitation
The Organizing Committee and the SGE are happy to invite Scientific Societies, Institutions, Organizations and Companies and their members and employees to collaborate with them by providing technical and financial support and by actively participating in the Congress. Presentation of abstracts for oral and poster communications in the scientific sessions and symposia, and participation in the scheduled field trips and round tables will be most welcome.

The Second Circular contains complementary information issued after the publication of the First Circular and the suggestions and proposals of scientific sessions, symposia and round tables received during the preliminary registration.
Later, the Third Circular will be issued. Contents of this web page will be updated until the congress is held, so please check it periodically for new information.
